Project Title: Easter Thriller

Home Learning Outcome: I am learning to use adventurous words in my writing.

Task: Pupils write an exciting story from the following opening:

“It was the morning of Easter Sunday and my belly was rumbling as I skipped downstairs to make myself some breakfast. I was the first one up, as usual, and decided to use this alone time to my advantage. I was convinced I could nab a small piece of the enormous Easter egg Grandma had got me without Mum finding out and giving me a good ticking off.

Towards the living room I crept without a sound. But instead of my face lighting up with the sight of the tasty chocolate treat it was about to receive, it dropped to the floor. Where the mountain of Easter eggs had once lay there was nothing but empty space. The patio door lay open. I nervously walked over to it and out into the garden. Then I saw it. Rabbit poo. Not your average droppings but rabbit poo the size of a human head. This could only mean one thing.”

Pupils will work on this same story both at home and at school. Pupils should write no more than 4 A4 pages.
