Well done everyone on a fantastic class assembly yesterday, you all should be really proud. Here it is for those of you who did not get a chance to attend yesterday and also for those who want to relive the magic!
It was a very Irish themed day in 4DC today! In the morning we learned about the story of St. Patrick and then went on to make ourselves shamrock badges and leprechaun hats! Well done everyone for putting such a big effort into your hats as they were quite challenging to make.
Also a big well done to those pupils who were singing today, Ms. Wright couldn’t stop smiling when she came back so you must have been fabulous!
Here it is, as promised! The video evidence that I did in fact do Irish dancing for the whole of KS1!
We have had a great week learning about Hungary in preparation for international evening. We got to work with all the lovely adults and kids in RST. We heard all about Hungary from a mum in RST, we made a storyboard on a Hungarian folktale, Janko Raven, we learnt some Hungarian words, did some Hungarian cooking and to top it all off we all came together to dance to some Hungarian music. Here are some videos we put together of the fun we had. Well done everyone for all the fantastic teamwork!
As part of a whole school initiative 4DC has decided on which rights and responsibilities we should follow to ensure that every pupil gets the most out of school life. We took these rights from the United Nations Covention on the Rights of the Child and then came up with our own responsibilities to concentrate on to help us respect these rights in the classroom. We are going to be making a special effort to follow these guidelines to make school life the happiest it can be for everyone.
